Seven layers between a promise and a payout.
Encryption everywhere
AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit — applied across every transaction and message on the platform. Keys are rotated and access-scoped; nothing moves in the clear.
Smart Contracts
Every deal is signed as a smart contract, with funds ring-fenced in Standard Bank trust accounts via TradeSafe's FSCA licence and released only when the contract's terms are met — never held on Arkive's own books.
See the smart contract platform →Identity verification
Biometric facial checks plus KYC / AML screening confirm every party before a deal proceeds. Funded bookings run only between verified accounts — no anonymous counterparties.
Compliance by design
An FSCA-aligned operating playbook, POPIA-compliant data handling, and a clear FAIS Ombud escalation path govern every account and dispute.
FSCA & TradeSafe →Fraud prevention
Funded-bookings-only, GPS check-in within a 10 km radius of the venue, and multi-factor release close the gaps that cash deals and handshake bookings leave wide open.
Privacy first
Biometric templates are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes. The original images are never retained — verification proves identity without ever holding your face.
Read the POPIA policy →Full audit trail
Every action is logged and reconcilable, from vault to release. Agencies and brands draw audit-ready statements on demand — a complete, timestamped record of the money.
Backed by regulated financial infrastructure.
The FSCA-licensed rail that holds and releases every transaction end-to-end, under a regulated smart contract mandate.
View the FSCA mandate →Smart Contract balances sit in ring-fenced Standard Bank trust accounts — institutional-grade custody, never on Arkive's balance sheet.
About the accounts →Transactions are underwritten by Liberty, protecting vaulted funds against systemic loss and defined force-majeure events.
How cover works →No single key opens the vault.
Releasing vaulted funds takes three independent factors, in sequence — each logged, each tied to a verified identity. Miss one and the money stays put.
Private PIN
The account holder confirms intent with a release PIN that never leaves their device unhashed.
Live biometric
A live facial biometric re-confirms the authorising party — matched against a stored one-way hash, not an image.
6-digit code
A one-time six-digit code, valid for a short window, seals the release and clears funds to the verified bank account.
All three factors are checked together and written to the audit trail — the same standard whether a booking is a single set or a national tour.
